Peter Yang was previously a research professor specializing in international economics in China, who published on its economic reform policies and strategies in the early reform years. He proposed, among other policies, the reform of the Value Added Tax (VAT) as a major step for its economic reforms.

His current teaching and research as Associate Professor at the Case Western Reserve University, USA, focuses on climate issues in the USA and China,  such as Environmental and Climate Protection Policy, Transformation to Sustainable Development, Renewable Energy Promotion, and Renewable Energy Technologies.
He is the author of a number of books and around 100 articles.

His recent books, “Rolling back the tide of climate change in the USA and China” and “Renewables are getting cheaper” are the most current studies of the environmental and climate protection and sustainable development policies and renewables deployment in the major economies and the rest of the world.
